Zach has been a formative member of Catalyst for a long time and currently sits on our board of directors. He is also one of our Directors in Residence, as well as, an Actor in Residence. You’ve seen Zach on stage with Catalyst in The Diviners (Ferris Laymen, 2016), Tooth of Crime (Chaser, 2017) and in our 2021 IndyFringe offering, Copyright/Safe (Eyepatch).
You’ve also seen Zach’s work with Catalyst as the director of many of the new works (and a classical adaptation!) we’ve premiered; such as Feral Boy (Bennett Ayres, 2016), Popular Monsters (Lou Harry, 2018), Romeo + Juliet (Shakespeare, 2018), and Lanista (Bennett Ayres, 2022). Zach has been seen on numerous Indy stages, as well as, directed and acted as a teacher, for many local companies.
CASEY ROSS

Casey is a playwright, director, designer, illustrator, and the Artistic Director/Founder of Catalyst Repertory. Casey has become known as a veteran local playwright, through her work at the IndyFringe, amassing a collection of more than 10 critically-acclaimed original plays. Some of Ross’s most notable Fringe festival works include her published trilogy of plays, The Gallery Trilogy, her love letter to comicbooks, Copyright/Safe, and her bawdy ‘stage-sitcom,’ The Tortillo! Trilogy. Ross is also an acclaimed director and conceptual designer, in the Indianapolis area, with her celebrated productions of The Pillowman, Equus, Tooth of Crime, Coriolanus, Taming of the Shrew, Timon of Athens, The Diviners, and more. In 2017, Ross, alongside Co-Artstic Director, Pelsue, won the IndyFringe ‘Best Vetern Producer’ Award, solidifying them amoung the festival’s key players.
Last year, Ross’s major projects inculded the conceptual design and direction of Catalyst’s intimate collaborative production of A Streetcar Named Desire, as well as, Catalyst’s June revival adaptation of Broadway oddity, Starmites, both of which, took place at the IndyFringe Basile Theatre. Bat in the Wind (or A Recent Study on Depression and Addiction), originally premiered that year, at the 2023 IndyFringe. Her next play on stage will be Gallery, brought back in a newly revised script, Gallery: A Retrospective, which will play at this year’s Fringe festival.
TIM DICK
( LIGHTING )
Tim Dick is an Indianapolis based lighting designer/technician. An elusive cryptid that can most often be found haunting the lighting systems of The Phoenix theatre or incoherently babbling lighting jargon to UIndy students. After graduating with a B.A. from ISU, they spent time designing and working on both the East and West coasts. Upon returning to Indy, they are excited to be part of an ever growing theatre scene with immense talent.
